Triple Warmer, Fascia, and lots of Pancreas/Spleen Phlegm. And Then There are Assholes:  Part 1

About ten years ago, Donna Eden recommended a book to me.  She said she was very impressed with the part about Triple Warmer, among other fascinating energy phenomena.    The book is called:

The Spark in the Machine, Dr Daniel Keown, M.B., ChB, Lic.Acu., Singing Dragon Publishing, London 2014.

Now, in the business of energy medicine, Triple Warmer is a strange flow, a dynamic energy line which has to do with Fight, Flight, or Freeze, and is one of the most important and often misunderstood meridians of all.

It pairs with Spleen to take care of our immunity.  Together, Triple Warmer and Spleen Meridians exchange energy.  They also can conscript energy from other meridians. Your physical and mental health are largely influenced by these two energies/meridians/flows.

What the book primarily deals with (and the TW part is fascinating), is the origin of life and energy channels built around fascia.

Fascia is a network of tissue which connects everything, from minute parts of the body, to interconnected fibrous webs around our bodies as communicating energy fields.

The book speaks of the origins of the first cellular structure and how each part becomes interdependent on another, until a magnificent human body is made.

You think the first cell in the body is a tiny electrical pulsation?  No.  It is an anus.

That’s right, the first cell in your body is an anus.   And around this pulsing little cell, an interlocking system of fascia begins to build a human being.  We are all magnificent assholes!

Part 2:  Dampness

In Chinese Medicine, there is a condition of imbalance called Dampness.  It is the cause of many degenerative illnesses, as well as many beginning conditions of disease.   This “Dampness” causes mucous and phlegm.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), dampness is a pathogenic factor that can invade the body from the outside or result from an internal imbalance. It’s characterized by an excess of moisture or fluid that can disrupt the normal functioning of organs and meridians.   It is truly a degenerative condition, and endemic in our culture.

The organs of elimination: liver, kidneys, large intestine, as well as skin (which incidentally is the major organ of elimination) can become congested due to a damp condition in the body, particularly in pancreas/spleen. The result of dampness is the creation of phlegm.  And tumors cysts, and stones can occur, as well as discharges. Chinese medicine refers to this imbalance as “sticky blood.”

One of the 5 suggestions I give to everyone is how to work with and eliminate Liver Chi Congestion.

Body is a reflection of mind

I don’t know about you, but my condition remains mostly damp.  When I have postnasal drip or any gastroenterological phenomena, I know I am out of balance.  For my sinuses, I flush and trace Stomach meridian and look at my emotions.  If they are off, I will have congestion somewhere.

And of course, food can be the most important cause of congestion.  I simply cannot afford any dairy at all and gave up processed foods and sugars three years ago.  I am “burning clean” now.  I am convinced that the reason I have not contracted COVID is because my sinuses and respiratory system are much better than they used to be.  And because I do not carry excess fat around my organs.

I have seen very slim people claim they are eating a low-fat diet, and who are, in fact, quite slim yet they have so much fat around their internal organs they are fooling themselves.

Dr. Phil Maffetone, a brilliant scholar and doctor, who I am proud to call my friend, told me about 40 years ago that he had witnessed autopsies of normally healthy people who died with over 50 pounds of undigested mucous-y food in their intestines, as well as fat around vital organs, like liver, heart, pancreas.

From your first cell, as an anus, to the complex matrix of connective tissue and blood, your human body is magnificent in its ability to reveal itself as a predictive gift.  And remember, the body is always a reflection of the mind.

There are many things to do to stay healthy – to stream, as I like to say.

In the next series of e-Letters, I will talk about what K.C. Armstrong called “Katharine’s Boot Camp.”

I recommend the same things to everyone to keep them healthy.  And I never recommend something I have not tried and made true.  The Boot Camp recommends the following:

Walking

Breathing

The Work of Byron Katie

Napping for Stagnant Liver Chi

Donna Eden’s Energy Medicine Exercise

These are the recommendations I make for everyone I see.     More to come.

Love, Gopita
